hey you brave artist, I’m Sarah  

I grew up in the sweet desert town of El Paso, Texas. I was always a bit of a dayDREAMER. And a bit obsessed with making stuff; living room dances, neighborhood dances, costumes, crafts etc. I was a young artist, dreaming up worlds filled with color, drama and movement. After receiving a BFA in Dance from New Mexico State University I headed out into that big beautiful art world. I lived in NYC, San Diego, then made my way to our amazing city, Austin Texas. All in the pursuit of dance. It was a beautiful time but to be honest I was pretty lost. And terribly broke. LOL. I found a lot of fulfillment in dance and performance, I always have, but I was yearning to make and create something of my own. I needed to express my voice and I needed a medium in which to do it. For whatever reason, choreography just wasn’t for me so I found myself in a failure to launch kind of state…until I picked up a camera. 

It’s honestly been unreal ever since! My work has been featured in, Texas Monthly, The Austin Chronicle, Sightlines Magazine & EASTside Magazine. I’ve had the honor of working with local and national artists of many different disciplines and I feel like this journey is just beginning. 

I hope you find something that speaks to you here, it’s my life’s passion to create and I truly hope that is with you.
